Cancelling a flight and asking for a refund
Before you cancel, it helps to know exactly what your fare will return. We work that out with you first.

Request a callbackContact usA refund depends entirely on the fare you bought. A refundable fare returns most of what you paid, minus any airline cancellation charge. A non-refundable fare may return only certain taxes, or nothing at all. We check the rules on your ticket and show you the likely amount before you decide.
If you choose to go ahead, we submit the cancellation to the airline only after you confirm in writing. The airline then processes the refund and sends it back through the payment route used for the booking. Airlines set their own processing times, so we do not promise a date; we do keep track of the request and update you when there is news.
Our own service fee is shown separately, and your quote tells you before you pay whether any part of it comes back if the booking is cancelled. Please read our Refund and Cancellation Policy for the full terms.

Should I cancel, or simply not turn up?
Please speak to us first. With many fares, not showing up for the first flight cancels the rest of the journey and can reduce what can be refunded.
What if the airline cancelled my flight?
When the airline cancels, your options are usually wider, often including rebooking or a refund. Share the airline's notice with us and we will ask what it will offer for your booking.
Can I keep the value of my ticket instead of taking a refund?
Some airlines allow an unused ticket to be kept for future travel for a limited period. We check whether your fare allows this and explain the conditions before you decide.
